I’ve always believed that everyone is born to be different and everyone can be the best of themselves. I think the greatest happiness is to have the ability to make the outside world be aligned with the inner side of you.
In the era of conventional network marketing, duplication is the key of success. This is how I had the achievements for the past 16 years.
But there’re 2 things that always puzzled me,
- Is there a 100%-proven success system even exist?
- What if your personality does not fit the typical success roadmap?
Thus, despite my early achievements, I’ve decided to start all over again. I ask myself, is there a way for people to build the business in a manner that catered to their strength?

Many leaders came to me and discussed on how to get their downlines to generate more leads.
Things become more challenging when their downlines are the typical introverts. The introverts are known for being quiet and shy, and they don’t like to interact with people face to face. They prefer to stay at home as well. Thus they can hardly follow the system to make the calls and do the sharing by themselves.
The extroverts normally have the advantages as their characters can fit into the system better. They like to be around with people and make new friends. And they will find it easier to connect with prospects and customers every day. They may achieve a remarkable result within short period after they join the business. Yet, they still face problem in Network Marketing because their network can be depleted within 3 to 5 years as well.
I love this industry as I love to connect with all kinds of people. However many of my top leaders hated the part of the constant, never-ending pursuit of calling and sponsoring new distributors. They always discussed with me about how to educate their downlines on what to talk when approaching prospect, how to do closing, how to do an effective 3-way call, how to do a good presentation, how to concur the fear to do cold calling etc. It’s like a never-ending story.
All these skills are important, but nevertheless these are still ‘push-marketing’. And in the social-media era now, the push-marketing may not work so well like last time anymore.
Things had changed tremendously after I get to learn about the revolutionary idea about ‘pull-marketing’ from my teacher T, which we name it, the ‘Attraction Marketing’.
Given you a choice of Option 1 or Option 2,Option 1, Traditional Network Marketing (PUSH), you are constantly getting ways to chase for the prospect.Option 2, Attraction Marketing (PULL), the prospect is chasing you which positions you as a leader and expert with value and power.I’m sure your answer is none other than Option 2.
So what is Attraction Marketing?
Attraction marketing focus on the target audience. The core value of Attraction marketing is to give people value first. In return, people come back to you.
In traditional marketing, we normally give people what we want them to have. In Attraction marketing, it’s to give what people want first.
So how to get people come to contact and pursue us?
According to my teacher, Mike Dillard (author of Magnetic Sponsoring™), the answer lies in basic human psychology, the human-to-human attraction.
By nature, people thrive and live in social groups. They follow a leader until they gain enough experience and confidence to challenge for leadership themselves or start their own group.
The leader, is typically the strongest and most dominant individual in the group or family, both physically and mentally. One of his primary responsibilities is to protect his group, and, in return for that protection, they follow him.
That instinct is still present and definitely used today, but the inherent value of a leader is now expressed through different abilities such as business savvy, sociability, monetary mean, and education, instead of physical prowess.
Essentially, we are hard-wired to find other people attractive or unattractive based on the level of value they have to offer, because we gain a portion of their power/value through association.
There are two important lessons there:
- People have a subconscious attraction to others who convey leadership qualities and have a high level of personal value.
- If you want to make it big in networking, you must learn to convey those qualities and eventually become a leader with value to offer others.
If your prospect or new distributor doesn’t have those qualities, they will struggle as well until they develop them. It’s likely that this process will continue for years until they finally gain the right qualities by accident, or until some nice person like you happens to share this content with them.
Now when it comes to network marketing, and sponsoring specifically, there’s one key concept you must understand:
People do not join a business; they join YOU.
